Supersonic CEREC in Bristol
People in Bristol have a lot of options on how to go about getting their teeth fixed and up to scratch just so they can remain pretty dandy. Things like having a veneer, a crown or a bridge fitted however would on average take a good couple of weeks to achieve because the fittings had to be sent off for. But now that is a thing of history as some genius has come up CEREC. It was always on the cards as technology started to get excited with itself in dental circles, but if you find somewhere that offers this treatment, you can have these treatment done within a couple of hours! Once you go in and have a digital x-ray taken, it is piped into a computer and then into a machine that will make the fitting as you are being prepared. Then you are fitted out with your new teeth. The advantage of this is that the new fitting can be also be rectified there and then if it is ill-fitting, and customized on site to suit your mouth. This has been a dream for people in a hurry and considering it is as cheap as the older ways, it has immense advantages over the way such treatments used to be done.

Having Dental Veneers fitted in Chepstow
There are many techniques available in Chepstow now to improve the look of your teeth. Bleaching and laser treatments have become very popular and very cheap too, but they are only as good as your teeth are. If your teeth have been subjected to wear or have become chipped or cracked, these treatments will not solve the problem. Neither will they plug any gaps that may have started to appear. This is the time to contemplate dental veneers. They are easy to fit to start with- your dentist will first remove the enamel of the teeth and then make a mould from which the veneer can be made. It normally takes a couple of weeks for the veneers return from the lab and then they can be cemented in place. However, CEREC treatment allows this whole process to be done in a hour, as the veneers are made in a machine on site. Lumineers are similar, albeit they thinner still, hence there is no removal of the tooth’s enamel- they are simply cemented over the tooth. But whatever the type of veneers you opt for, there is no hiding the fact, that they give incredible results. The length of the tooth can be restored and any cracks and gaps covered over. But it’s because of the amazing translucent look that the veneers have, where the most effective results are achieved. They look brand new, as well as looking natural and restore a stunning look to your smile

Chepstow dentist manufactures Cerec crown in minutes while you wait
Dental crowns, inlays and veneers are some of the most useful and versatile dental treatments. Not only do they protect teeth from damage but they also restore the cosmetic appearance of the teeth. In the past, manufacturing these ceramic restorations involved a lengthy process of dental moulds, x-rays and fabrication in a laboratory. The whole process from initial consultation to fitting of the crown could take several appointments and several weeks.
However, a new technology called Cerec is revolutionising the way dentists make ceramic restorations and clearly points the way forward in terms of modern dentistry. Cerec relies on the information provided by digital x-rays and three-dimensional imaging. This allows the dentist a full 3D view of the patient’s teeth on which to design the new crown or veneer.
When satisfied, they can then select the right shade and consistency of enamel and instruct a computer-guided mill to sculpt the new tooth cap. This whole milling process can take as little as six minutes per tooth and allows the whole procedure to be carried out in just one appointment.
Cerec is cutting edge technology and is available now at Chepstow dentists. It has drastically cut waiting and treatment times for all patients, meaning fewer appointments are needed and that you can have the dental work you require carried out as soon as possible.
Cerec made crowns, veneers and inlays are also incredibly strong as they are made from a single piece of porcelain as opposed to several layers. This kind of pioneering technology has many possible uses in dentistry and it is expected that soon, all dental restorations will be manufactured in this way.

Experience the future with Cerec at Swindon dentist
Dental crowns and veneers are tools to improve the appearance of teeth and protect them from further damage. They have been successfully used in dentistry for many years but several advances in technology in recent years has revolutionised the way they are used.
Modern crowns and veneers are for the most part made out of porcelain because of its similarity to tooth enamel. They are also significantly thinner than previously which means that less tooth enamel has to be removed before application. This was always a concern for dentists as they never liked having to remove otherwise healthy enamel.
However, one of the most significant introductions over the last few years, and one could even argue in the history of dentistry, is Cerec. This is a new technology that allows dentists to utilise several areas of new technology to produce dental crowns and veneers in just a single appointment. In the past, a dental crown would need to be manufactured with the help of several time consuming dental moulds and conventional x-rays. The average time to manufacture a crown was about two weeks. Using new Cerec technology, which in turn uses digital x-rays and three-dimensional imaging, this has been brought down to about half an hour.
The process begins with the dentist taking a digital x-ray of the tooth in question. An image is more or less instantly displayed in the computer screen and can give the dentist an incredibly accurate three-dimensional view of the teeth. They can then use this image to design a crown or veneer on the screen. This image is then relayed to a computer guided mill where the new crown is sculpted from a single piece of porcelain in as little as six minutes, and can be immediately fitted into the mouth using dental bonding. Because the porcelain is a single piece it is also incredibly strong. This new Cerec technology available at Swindon dentists represents the future of dental technology.

Treatment times reduced thanks to digital x-rays at Swindon dentist
Of all the modern technological advances in dentistry, few have been as revolutionary and useful as digital x-rays. They have reduced waiting times and treatment times and also made possible a new series of treatments that are changing modern dentistry.
Digital x-rays produce an immediate and three-dimensional image of the patient’s mouth and teeth onto a computer screen. This has replaced the old style traditional x-rays which produced two-dimensional black and white images. This ;also needed developing that could take up to several days depending on the number of patients.
Swindon dentists can now get an incredibly accurate image of the patient’s teeth almost immediately, which they can then use for further treatment. One of the newest methods of treatment is called Cerec. This allows dentists to produce dental restorations such as crowns, veneers and dental inlays in only one appointment. The process is able to work because of the images produced by the digital x-rays. The dentist can use this image to create a dental crown or veneer on the computer. When satisfied with the size and shape he can then utilise a computer-guided machine to sculpt the restoration from a single piece of porcelain. This takes as little as six minutes per tooth and represents an astonishing leap forward in dental technology.
Digital x-rays have not only improved the time of treatment but they have also improved its quality. The images available now are accurate to microscopic degrees. This has allowed treatments to become more accurate and means dentists no longer need to rely on clumsy and time-consuming dental moulds.

Stunning dental crown with Cerec from Chepstow dentist
Technology is changing our world at an incredible rate. New devices are being invented and implemented to make our lives more comfortable and more convenient, at a remarkable pace. The world of dental treatment is experiencing a similar technological revolution that is changing the way dentistry is practised and making lives easier and more comfortable for patients.
One of the most notable and impressive new dental technologies is known as Cerec, and in many respects represents the future of modern dental practise. In the past, if a patient needed a dental crown or a veneer to repair a damaged tooth or restore the health of a decayed one, it would take several appointments and several weeks to design and fit. Cerec has made this process possible in a single visit to your Chepstow dentist.
Using new dental equipment like digital x-rays and 3D imaging, the dentist can create an incredibly accurate picture of your mouth in only a few minutes. There is no need for time consuming traditional x-rays or dental moulds. Using this digital image the dentist can then begin to design the new crown or restoration on the computer. When satisfied with the appearance, they can then instruct a computer-guided mill to sculpt the new tooth from a single piece of carefully colour-matched porcelain. This manufacturing process can take as little as six minutes per tooth, which is an incredible improvement on the previous laboratory method.
Also known as chair-side treatment, Cerec reduces the need for dental appointments, making your life more convenient and shortening waiting times for all other patients. With stunning results possible, it is easy to see why more dentists and even more patients are opting to choose Cerec dental restorations.
