The process
The planning stage for smile rejuvenation is the most important phase of treatment. At this point, Dr Gerrard will work with you to establish the best treatments and plan your treatment in detail. To begin with, Dr Gerrard will carry out a thorough examination of your mouth to check your teeth and gums and ascertain what needs to be done and which treatments will be beneficial. We will also carry out X-rays to get a detailed image of the bone structure and build up an accurate picture of what the mouth looks like now and how it will look once treatment is complete.
During the consultation stage, we will also chat to you to establish your treatment goals and find out what kinds of results you hope and expect to achieve. It’s important to us that we get it right, so we invite you to share your ideas and bring in photographs. Honesty and transparency are key, so we make recommendations based on what is possible and if for some reason a treatment choice is not quite right, we will be happy to make alternative suggestions.
We use a range of treatments including veneers, dental crowns, bridges and implants. If implant treatment is required, treatment may take a little longer.
