Nothing boosts your confidence and makes you feel radiant like a bright white smile, and at Clifton Dental Studio we offer a wide range of treatments to meet all your whitening needs. One of our most popular whitening treatments is Enlighten. If you want amazing results that last for ages, look no further than Enlighten, the current leading dental treatment on the dental market.
What is Enlighten?
Enlighten is a professionally distinguished tooth whitening treatment that is popular the world over. This system has featured heavily in the media, chiefly on TV makeover shows, and has an incredible reputation based on amazing results. Enlighten is the only treatment available that offers the lightest tooth shade, which is known as B1.
Enlighten can be administered both in-chair and at home, as the treatment process merges both elements. The treatment is initially carried out at home, with the patient wearing a unique whitening tray for 2 weeks. The trays are bespoke to each patient in order to ensure that they are comfortable and a good fit. The trays contain an agent that gradually lightens the colour of the teeth over the 2 week period.
After these 2 weeks, the patient comes into the studio for further whitening treatment. This only takes an hour and gives the smile a dazzling boost.
Is Enlighten safe?
Enlighten treatment is perfectly safe and really does give you a stunning smile you can be proud of.
Discoloured, mildly misaligned or damaged teeth can make us feel very self-conscious, but dental veneers are the perfect solution to putting the confidence back into your smile. Veneers can be made from either porcelain or white composite.
What are Lumineers?
Lumineers are made from patented porcelain- a wafer thin cover that is easy to fit and will hide away any signs of gaps, cracks and general wear and tear in your teeth. The strength comes once they have been bonded in with the cement. All you have to do is to get your teeth measured up by having moulds taken. Once this has been done, these moulds are sent off so that the fittings can be made. Once they are ready, your teeth will be cleaned and then the Lumineers will be glued straight onto the front of the teeth. These fittings should last a long while if you care for them, and they will totally transform the look of your smile. Lumineers are the epitome of everything beautiful about modern dentistry.
Less tooth preparation
With Lumineers, your existing tooth structure is preserved, as the treatment involves less tooth preparation. In your first appointment at Clifton Dental Studio, we will take impressions of your teeth so that we can custom-make your Lumineers. In your second appointment the Lumineers will be fitted and adjusted for a long-lasting, beautiful smile.
Your smile is one of your most important features and it can have a major bearing on your looks. If your teeth look bright and healthy, this can really enhance your facial aesthetic, but if you have missing, chipped or stained teeth, this can make you look older. We offer complete smile rejuvenation to give your smile a boost and help you to look and feel a million dollars.
What is smile rejuvenation?
Smile rejuvenation is designed to transform and enhance your smile to ensure you feel confident and happy when you look in the mirror or bear your teeth to smile, talk or laugh.
Smile rejuvenation usually involves a series of different treatments, including cosmetic and restorative dental services, which work together to achieve a perfect outcome.
The planning stage is extremely important and we will carry out extensive checks and examinations to identify problem areas and determine the best solutions. Dr Neil Gerrard has several years of experience in creating dream smiles and during the consultation stage, he will discuss the different treatment options and work with you to design the ideal smile.
Treatments that are commonly used to rejuvenate the smile include veneers, tooth whitening, crowns, bridge work and dental implants. We will also check your bite and we can offer orthodontic treatment if these are issues such as spaces between the teeth, crowding or overbite.
How long does treatment take?
It’s impossible to pin down a treatment time because this will depend heavily on the treatments you choose. Some treatments can be completed in a single treatment session lasting an hour, while others, such as dental implants, take several months. Once you have chosen your treatments, we will be able to give you a detailed plan, which will include details about expected treatment time.
At Clifton Dental Studio, we offer a stunning array of cosmetic treatments to address aesthetic imperfections and create beautiful smiles. We understand that problems with the look of the smile can affect self-esteem and we are confident that we have the solution to make your smile look amazing.

What are the benefits of cosmetic dental treatment?
Cosmetic dentistry is designed to improve the look of the smile. Research shows that the smile is the first thing other people notice about you and also it is the feature that most people consider their most attractive characteristic. This means that if you are unhappy with the way your smile looks, this not only affects the way others perceive or view you, but also the way you see yourself. Cosmetic dental treatment, whether it involves a major overhaul or minor changes, can make a significant difference to your confidence and self-esteem. Increased confidence can have a really positive impact on many areas of life, from your performance and drive at work, to your social life and your self-esteem.
If you would like to find out more about our cosmetic dental services, do not hesitate to give us a call. We offer smile design and bespoke smile makeovers, as well as treatments designed to correct specific flaws, such as chips and staining.
If you’ve ever watched lifestyle or makeover programmes on television, you will have seen the difference a smile makeover can make to somebody’s appearance, as well as their confidence. We offer a bespoke smile makeover service to assess your needs and preferences, design and create your ideal smile and enhance your looks.
Each smile makeover is different because we all have different dental and cosmetic needs and varying ideas of what constitutes as the perfect smile. This is why the smile design stage is so important and why we encourage our patients to get involved, show us pictures and describe exactly the kind of look they want to achieve when treatment is complete.
How do you choose which treatments go into a smile makeover?
This is the really fun part when you design your smile and we go through the treatment options and decide which techniques would be best to achieve your dream smile. Everyone has different ideas and goals and all patients start from a different place; some people have greater needs than others and patients need different types of treatment. A patient who has chipped, worn teeth and a missing tooth, for example, will have different needs to a client who has crooked, crowded teeth and a gummy smile. We explore the different options and make recommendations based on the information we have about your smile, your oral health status and your treatment goals and select the best treatments for you. We will also chat to you about treatment times and cost, as these are other factors which may influence your decisions.
How long does treatment take?
Once we have completed the consultation stage, we can start treatment. Treatment time varies wildly, as some treatments take much longer than others. many of the simpler treatments such as cosmetic bonding, white fillings, gum reshaping and express whitening, can be completed in an hour, but orthodontic treatment and some restorative techniques take a lot longer.

The world of modern dentistry today in Chepstow is a wonderful one and if you are suffering from any issues at all with your mouth, and even on your face, cosmetic dentistry has all bases covered. It starts with the basics in order to get your teeth and gums healthy first and plug up any gaps with bridges, implants or dentures; damaged teeth can be repaired with dental crowns and decay can be beautifully hidden away with white fillings- then the real cosmetics can start in earnest. Gums can be contoured with laser surgery and then repaired with veneers if need be; veneers can also cover away flaws in your teeth (along with bonding), whereas if the teeth are simply just discoloured, whitening will restore the colour back to the enamel. Even the lines and cracks in your face can be overcome by dentists today by injecting dermal fillers and BOTOX in to the damaged places. If all of this has wetted the appetite and you fancy a bit of a make-over, then get in touch with Clifton Dental of Bristol for information about all aspects of cosmetic dentistry, for they serve the area.
The world of cosmetic dentistry is a fabulous one to live in and be a part of. If anything goes wrong in your mouth today, it can be fixed and leave you looking rejuvenated, fresh and young. Whitening can put the gloss back into your mouth but if your teeth are beyond this, then get some veneers fitted or cosmetic bonding done. Horrible gums can be contoured with laser treatment, and holes after tooth loss can be filled in with implants, crowns or bridges. There are also the basics of dentistry to fall back on like braces, aligners and fillings to keep your mouth on track. What is even more amazing is that dentists now utilise their needles and fill them with dermal fillers and BOTOX so they can be used to smooth out the wrinkles all over the face. This is a special time for cosmetic dentistry, so you should jump on board with everything it has to offer, especially if age is catching up with you. There have been some radical leaps in technology when it comes to all things dental and one area that has benefited the most is cosmetic dentistry; and in turn it has been a godsend to patients that desperately need a smile make-over. Quite simply, there is nothing that cosmetic dentistry can’t do to help you with your problems; the first is addressing the issue of tooth loss. With the aid of a dental bridge, partial dentures, crowns and a dental implant, this can be rectified before you know it. If signs of ageing are bugging you then you can have veneers fitted, or some cosmetic bonding done to help relieve your worries and hide away your problems. Gums can be contoured with laser treatment; cracks in your skin can be treated with botox, dermal fillers or a chemical peel. Of course, if your teeth are in pretty good shape anyway, all it may take to get your smile back on track is a bit of whitening. The choices in cosmetic dentistry are endless and you will find something to overcome your problems with if you take a leap of faith. For everything you need to know about the treatments that can help you out then get in touch with the Clifton dental studio based in Bristol, for they serve the Chepstow area.
It’s a pretty good bet that most of you in Bath go the extra mile when looking after your teeth. You buy all the right products to clean your teeth with and ensure that your mouth is bacteria-free. However, what you can’t fight off is age and with this, your teeth may also begin to lose their sparkle. You can get whitening toothpastes to help restore some of the sheen that may have been lost; DIY bleaching kits can do likewise. Best of all, you can get your dentist to whiten your teeth for you. But this won’t help though if your teeth have suffered from general wear and tear. However, cosmetic dentistry has all the answers and can get your teeth up to scratch in no time with the fitting of veneers or by cosmetic bonding, and this will restore your smile completely. In fact, there are many forms of cosmetic dentistry on hand to improve all aspects of your teeth. The Clifton dental studio is based in Bristol but it serves the area; they can give you advice on how you can improve the way you look after your teeth on a daily basis and tell you all you need to know about the different types of cosmetic dentistry you can get to improve the way your teeth look.
