Step 1: At your consultation, we will carry out some tests to see if you are a good candidate for Invisalign and explain how the treatment works, what benefits it offers and how it could impact your smile and your confidence. If you want to go ahead with Invisalign, we take photographs and impressions of your teeth and these are sent away to the Invisalign laboratory.
Step 2: Invisalign software covers the photographs and impressions of your teeth into detailed models used to create your bespoke removable aligners. When your aligners are ready, they are sent back to us. Most people have between 12 and 48 aligners.
Step 3: We fit your first aligner and your treatment begins! We will explain how to use your aligners, when to take them out and how to keep them clean and of course, we will be happy to answer any questions you have.
Step 4: you wear your aligners every day for at least 22 hours, removing them when you eat and brush your teeth. Each aligner is worn for 2 weeks. We arrange progress sessions every 6 weeks or so to se how you are getting on.
Step 5: you remove your last aligner for the last time and your treatment is complete! Congratulations, you can now start showing off that fabulous new smile!

About Invisalign
Marketed as an invisible brace system, Invisalign enables patients to get a beautiful smile without anyone being able to spot that they are wearing braces. Rather than using a traditional brace, Invisalign employs a sequence of clear aligners, which are impossible to see when they are placed over the top of the teeth. These aligners are similar to a very light and delicate version of a mouth guard and they work in a particular order, each one in place for 2 weeks. Invisalign aligners can be taken out, which makes tooth-brushing and eating much easier and less stressful than with fixed braces.
The Inman Aligner
The Inman Aligner is another impressive removable brace and although it is not strictly invisible, as with Invisalign aligners, it is much more discreet than a traditional fixed brace. With the Inman Aligner, there are two main components, which are responsible for creating force and pressure to move the teeth; these include a spring, which sits at the back of the teeth and a metal bar, which is located at the front of the teeth. The bar is visible, but it is very fine and thin and treatment time is so short that most people are willing to make the compromise with the aesthetics. Most cases are complete within just 16 weeks.
