We're More Than Just a Dental Studio…

Gone are the days when a dental surgery was simple the place to go for a filling or have a tooth removed. Nowadays, even a simple practice or an NHS dental surgery has the techniques and technology to perform at least some manner of simple cosmetic dentistry. Many of the leading surgeries in the country now also offer facial cosmetic work as well, Clifton Dental Studio being one of them.

What else can you get from your dentist?

As well as the excellent dental work – both practical and cosmetic – and sublime customer service, Clifton also offers facial rejuvenation treatment. All the treatments in this area are non-surgical treatments that are becoming more and more popular. The treatments include injectable Botox treatment.

Botox

Most people have heard of Botox, with good reason. It is one of the most well known and successful non-surgical facial cosmetic options. It is a fairly simple process in which diluted Botulinum is injected into designated areas. It’s used to decrease the appearance of wrinkles and blocks impulses between the nerves and muscles on the area of the face that it is injected to. One of the main concerns with non-surgical cosmetics is whether it will hurt. Botox uses an exceptionally thin needle which results in very little to no discomfort.

Why are More and More People Choosing Botox?

Botox is a chemical that has been greatly studied and observed by many scientists and professionals. As it has become an accepted practice in today’s society, many people are now investing in Botox for a younger looking appearance. Several people around the world have heard of the Botox injection and its many uses for aesthetic and cosmetic enhancement. It is a well-known anti-aging technique that has been practiced by doctors for many years. Botox can also be used to control hyperactive muscles that impair your smile and also to successfully treat excessive sweating. If you have wrinkles or a feature about your face that you feel impairs your image, you could always contact a dentist for a Botox consultation, to see what can be done to enhance your facial appearance. Lines around your eyes, creases at the corner of your mouth and frown marks can all be treated quickly and effectively with Botox treatment. Another reason why people tend to use this procedure is to take years off of their skin in a quick and easy way. Sometimes people may acquire wrinkles that highlight or emphasis their actual age, such as around the eyes and in their smile, affecting the whole shape and contour of their face. Often, first impressions rely on eye contact, gestures, and even facial expressions and cosmetic appeal. This is why the use of Botox is becoming more and more popular.

Rejuvenate Your Skin in Time for Spring

As well as giving you a beautiful, gleaming smile with our cosmetic, restorative and general dental treatments, we also provide treatments to rejuvenate and revive your skin. Our facial treatments are non-surgical and sessions are usually complete within 30 minutes. If your skin is looking dull and tired, you’re sick of zoning in on wrinkles when you look in the mirror or you want to roll back the years without the risks of surgery, we can help!

Our treatments

Our treatments include Botox and dermal fillers.

Botox

Botox is a purified toxin injected into the skin to smooth lines and wrinkles. This treatment is particularly popular for treating issues such as crow’s feet and lines on the forehead. Botox works by limiting muscle contraction in the facial muscles. Treatment is non-invasive, sessions usually last between 10 and 30 minutes and the results last between 3 and 6 months. If you are new to facial treatments, Botox is a good option because the results are only temporary, so you can have treatment without committing to a permanent look or undertaking the risks of surgery.

Dermal fillers

Dermal fillers are another popular treatment for reducing the visibility of facial lines and they also provide a solution for dull and sunken skin. Fillers add volume and plumpness to the skin to help combat the effects of ageing and decreasing quantities of collagen. Fillers can also add more volume to the lips and treatment can really make a difference to the definition of the facial features. Like Botox, dermal fillers produce temporary results and patients have the choice to top-up their treatment after around 6-9 months.

The procedure

The beauty of fillers and Botox is the simplicity and speed of the treatment process. The procedure takes less than half an hour, there is very little pain involved and you don’t need to worry about taking time off after treatment. A fine needle is used to inject Botox or filler into the skin. Before treatment, we will discuss the areas you want to treat and explain how the treatment works and what you can expect after treatment.

If the winter has taken its toll and your skin is looking dull and old, now is the perfect time to treat yourself to some TLC and get your complexion ready for the spring! With our non-invasive facial rejuvenation treatment, we can give your skin a radiant boost in perfect time to banish those winter blues and usher in the warmer climes.

About Botox

Botox is a very popular anti-ageing facial treatment, and is most commonly used to reduce the visibility of lines and wrinkles on the forehead, around the eyes and between the nose and mouth. Botox is a purified form of botulinum toxin type A, which is injected into the skin to facilitate the relaxation of the facial muscles and prevent contraction. This results in the softening of lines and creates a smooth, youthful looking surface. Botox treatment is non-surgical and the results only last around 4-6 months. It is very popular with people who want younger looking skin without the risks or recovery times associated with facial surgery.

Dermal fillers

We also offer dermal fillers, which are a non-invasive solution for sagging, dull skin. Fillers add volume to the skin and enhance the facial features to bring out your best bits and create a younger look. Like Botox, filler treatment is temporary, with results lasting up to 9 months. We can also use fillers to plump the lips and create more definition in the jaw line and around the cheekbones.

The procedure

Before you have Botox or filler treatment, Dr Neil Gerrard will explain how the treatment works and what the procedure entails. He will then discuss the areas of the skin you want to address and plan your treatment. At your treatment session, a very fine needle will be used to inject Botox or filler into the desired areas. Treatment usually takes around 20 minutes and most people find that the injections are painless. After the procedure, you can return to work or head home without worrying about taking time off to recover.

About facial rejuvenation

Facial rejuvenation treatment is designed to reinvigorate the complexion and tackle the signs of ageing to make you look and feel younger. We offer highly effective, safe, non-invasive anti-ageing treatments, one of our most popular being Botox. We focus on achieving a natural look and we use the latest techniques to produce stunning, pain-free results.

What is Botox?

Botox is an incredibly popular anti-ageing treatment that uses a purified form of toxin known as botulinum toxin type A to reduce the visibility of wrinkles and fine lines. Botox is injected in very small quantities, and treatment is targeted to cover specific areas of the skin, including the forehead, around the eyes and between the mouth and nose. Botox works by blocking nerve signals to the facial muscles. This prevents contraction and causes the muscles to relax, making lines much less noticeable. Botox treatment is very quick and pain is minimal. Sessions usually last around 15-30 minutes and the results last up to 6 months. A very fine needle is used to inject Botox into zones of the skin. Treatment can be repeated in the future to prolong the effects.

Is Botox safe?

Botox is approved for use in the UK, and Dr Neil Gerrard has extensive experience in using this treatment. His meticulous attention to detail ensures a comfortable treatment process and excellent, natural-looking results. After Botox treatment, there is a small risk of minor bruising and swelling, but this tends to subside very quickly.
