Dr Neil Gerrard leads a small dedicated team committed to clinical excellence and exceptional customer service.

As an author he has published “How to find your perfect dentist”. A book to help anyone one find their perfect dentist.

Dr Neil Gerrard is 1 of only 2 dentists in the Southwest and one of only 18 dentists nationally to have achieved accreditation status with the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD). BACD accreditation recognises the advanced level and skill required to create the very best smiles possible.

Neil’s area of special interest is in advanced cosmetic dentistry, smile rejuvenation and complex smile reconstruction with dental implants.

Paul has over 20 years experience in denture construction.

Dr Rory joined the team at Clifton in 2018, he is committed to clinical excellence in all aspects of care for those looking to improve their smiles. He loves working with children and particularly enjoys helping adults who are nervous to overcome their fears about coming to the dentist. Dr Rory trained in Cardiff where he graduated with honours and was a recipient of the Jane Hodge Foundation Prize.

He has worked in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery team in Swansea where he was responsible for the care of patients undergoing a wide range of therapies for oncological, physical trauma, as well as surgical and developmental anomalies, such as Cleft Lip and Palate repair. He also brings experience from busy multi unit mixed practice in Manchester and most recently is returning to Clifton from Australia, having spent four years working as the principal dentist of a fully private practice in coastal New South Wales.

Earlier in 2018 Dr Rory attained fellowship with the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons. He is registered with both the GDC and AHPRA and is a member of the British Dental Association, Australasian Sleep Association, the International Association of Oral Implantologists and is an accredited member of the Australasian Society of Implant Dentistry. Dr Rory is committed to further professional development and invests in his skills and knowledge, by consistently engaging in over double the amount of training hours expected by the GDC every year. He is also a published author in the British Dental Journal.

I enjoy swimming and running. I’ve done a couple of half marathons, and I’m hoping to do a 10K swim next September. So wish me luck.

I grew up in Cardiff and then moved on to Redding to study a master’s in Pharmacy before going to London at King’s College to study dentistry.

Since then, I’ve moved to Bristol, and this is where I’ve been practising. And I love this city, so I’m not going anywhere anytime soon. I really enjoy root canal treatments in dentistry. And I’m currently undergoing some further learning on this and hoping to do a master’s in the next couple of years.

I like working with anxious patients because it’s quite nice to see the change and try to make them feel a bit more comfortable. And give them the smile that they deserve and make them feel happier coming to the dentist without anxiety.

Hi, my name is Sylvia, and I’m the new dentist at Clifton Dental Studio.

I initially grew up in London, but I studied in Bristol, and I decided to stay in Bristol afterwards because it’s such a great city.

In my free time, I like to bake bread, especially sourdough bread. I also like to inline skate. So that’s skating on four wheels in a single line. And I recently started doing pottery again. So that would be hand building and also throwing on the wheel.

Within dentistry. I like to keep things varied. I like to treat the whole mouth as a whole. And I also have a growing interest in orthodontic treatment. That’s braces.

I also have a passion for pain-free dentistry. So I don’t want any of my patients to feel scared or worried about the treatment that they’re about to have. And I look forward to meeting you all at Clifton Dental Studio.

Heather has been with the Team since 2007. She offers 5 star customer service and care. Heather has undertaken training in the UK and America. She is committed to learning and keeping up to date with the latest techniques to offer patients.

Heather has a gentle and caring approach and is passionate about aiding patients in achieving and maintaining long-term dental health.

Heather Explains Why She Loves Working At Clifton Dental Studio

Bex qualified as Dental Nurse in North Devon before she decided to relocate to Bristol with her friend. Bex is enjoying living in Bristol and being part of the Clifton Dental Studio team.

She is looking forward to developing her skills and knowledge within dentistry and watching smiles transform!

In her spare time Bex enjoys spending time with family and friends, going out for dinner and drinks.

Ellie started working at Clifton Dental Studio in September 2021, initially as a trainee dental nurse before changing paths and becoming the decontamination nurse.

Ellie enjoys working at Clifton dental studio and feels she has got the best colleagues ever.

When Ellie’s not working, she loves spending time with her family and friends, trying out different restaurants and eating good food.

Julie has been a huge asset to our team since 2013. Previously she has ten plus years experience working in dental environments.

She has had extensive training in front of house offering a 5 star experience to our clients from the moment they enter the studio to the moment they leave. Julie has taken on many extensive duties such as Front Desk Team Leader, Implant coordinator and marketing and promotion for the studio.

In her spare time, she enjoys running and has completed many half marathons and ran her first full marathon in London.

Fiona’s background is in general nursing where she was a ward sister prior to joining Clifton Dental Studio in 2006.

She has been able to use her management skills to oversee all departments and be part of the successful growth of Clifton Dental Studio. She has undertaken extensive training here & abroad in all non clinical aspects to ensure the smooth operation of the business from day to day.

Fiona is currently looking to complete her management course and is currently job sharing with Lorraine James.

Fiona is married to Neil our principal dentist whom she has supported since he was a technician. She supported him through university & they have been married for 24 years.

In her spare time (when she has any) Fiona enjoys going to the gym & spending time with Neil & her 4 year old daughter Isla before she starts school in September.

Lorraine joined Clifton Dental Studio as part of the front desk team in March 2010 having previously worked as a Senior Flight Attendant in the upper class cabin for Virgin Atlantic.

Since joining the team I have been lucky enough to be given the opportunity to progress my career and become our Patient Coordinator and joint Practice Manager.

In my spare time I love spending time with my family and friends, keeping fit and enjoy a bit of retail therapy (when I get the chance).

After being a qualified dental nurse for over 20 years, Kate joined Clifton Dental Studios in 2021. She wanted the opportunity to be involved in more advanced dentistry. Such as Implants and Orthodontics and smile transformations.

Since joining Kate has successfully completed a course in RA Sedation and is currently studying radiology. And is really enjoying a more hands-on approach to dental nursing.

Kate’s spare time is mainly family-oriented with trips to the caravan or day trips with her partner Ben and their two daughters, long walks with her two dogs and dinner/drinks with friends.

It is with great pleasure I introduce myself as a Therapist at Clifton Dental Studio.

I am originally from Yorkshire; I graduated from the University of Birmingham in Dental Hygiene and Therapy in 2020. Since then I have gained qualifications in conscious sedation and have a big interest in aesthetics dentistry focusing on restorative dentistry and composite bonding.

I enjoy keeping fit and active and will always be open to any food and holiday destination recommendations – two of my favourite things!

My mission as a therapist is to address dental needs in an open, honest and pain free environment where my patients look forward to seeing me.

Being a perfectionist and meticulous, I strive to do the very best for my patients – always in their best interests. I cannot wait to get to know more patients and help them achieve their dental goals and making people feel more confident.

Rachel joined the reception team at Clifton Dental Studio in April 2022, after working as a chef she decided to return to a customer-facing work role.

Clifton Dental Studio has allowed Rachel to develop and enhance her customer experience skills, providing a 5-star experience and expanding her knowledge whilst drinking copious amounts of tea with her workmate Julie.

In her spare time, Rachel enjoys outdoor swimming, working on creative projects, and going to the pub with her friends.

Zoe is a mum of two and enjoys spending time with her family and friends. In her spare time, she enjoys going on walks with her Labrador, getting lost in a good book, and of course some retail therapy!

Zoe joined Clifton Dental Studio in March 2022, as one of our Smile Advisors. She has worked in dentistry for 16 years and has a real passion for helping patients with their teeth and smile.

I am Elsie, Lead Dental Nurse at Clifton Dental Studio. I have been a dental nurse for over 8 years now and began working at this practice at the beginning of the year (2024).

The high standard of care given to patients from the team here at the practice is what I like most about my job.

In my spare time, I enjoy catching up with friends and family over dinner and keeping fit and healthy.
